PHYSIOTHERAPY
Philosophy
Registered physiotherapists are primary health care professionals that combine their knowledge of the body with specialized hands-on skills to assess, diagnose and treat symptoms of illness, injury and disability. At Evolve, you will receive one-on-one treatment with our registered physiotherapists in a modern and private room. They will provide evidence-based practice to treat your symptoms, as well as identify and address the root cause of your problems. Our aim is to help you reach your goal, however big or small that may be.

Jonathan Louie, Physiotherapist
I understand how pain and injuries can get in the way of life and the things you love to do. Having endured my fair share of injuries, I have experienced first-hand the power of physiotherapy and comprehensive treatment plans. I place emphasis on proper education and preventative rehabilitation as a part of my treatment sessions. I incorporate a holistic, client-centred approach to each session, being sure to address the root cause of issues and not just the symptoms to get you back to doing the things that you love.
How we do what we do
What to expect on your first visit?
To make the most out of your first visit, please arrive at the clinic 10-15 minutes early in order to complete a short intake form. By doing this you are maximizing your time with your physiotherapist. Please bring with you any referrals, imaging results or medication details that may be relevant.
Your physiotherapist will complete a thorough and detailed assessment in a private room. They will spend time listening to you and asking questions about the history of your condition and its impact on your day to day life. Following this, they will complete a detailed assessment of your joints, muscles and nervous system that will allow an accurate diagnosis and assessment of your condition.
Your physiotherapist will then outline and discuss a treatment plan with you and will start the treatment process in your first session.
How do we treat your problem?
Physiotherapists use a range of specialized techniques to restore function and movement to the body. Every condition and person is different.
Manual therapy
Our physiotherapists have a hands-on approach to treatment and will use a range of manual therapy techniques to help restore function. Physiotherapists are trained in the use of various joint mobilization techniques to treat stiffness and pain in the use of various techniques to improve the length and function of your soft tissues.
Education
Education is an integral part of the rehab process. At Evolve, our physiotherapists will take the time to explain the causes of your pain and dysfunction, as well as take the time to answer your questions and ensure your understanding of the treatment plan and rehab process. They may discuss your habits and postures throughout the day and give you specific advice on adaptations that will help reduce your symptoms and prevent recurring injury.
