I am a doctor of chiropractic with a passion for helping patients feel and function at their very best. Following my graduation from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2005, I began developing a unique blend of manual therapy known as Complete Chiropractic Care. Combining my extensive training in Active Release Techniques®, sports-related injuries, and biomechanics, I have designed a thorough, multi-disciplinary approach to patient care. The goal of this approach is to provide patients with immediate improvements in their health and well-being.
I am an avid rock-climber, long-distance cyclist and a runner. I also maintain a regular meditation practice. I live in Roncesvalles with my wife Erin, two boys and our dog.

I understand how pain and injuries can get in the way of life and the things you love to do. I completed my Masters of Physiotherapy from McMaster University after completing my Bachelor of Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia in my hometown of Vancouver. As a lifelong athlete, I have played a variety of high-level, competitive sports including soccer, basketball, volleyball, track and field, and taekwondo. Having endured my fair share of injuries, I have experienced first-hand the power of physiotherapy and comprehensive treatment plans. I place emphasis on proper education and preventative rehabilitation as a part of my treatment sessions. I incorporate a holistic, client-centred approach to each session, being sure to address the root cause of issues and not just the symptoms to get you back to doing the things that you love.In my free time, you can catch me at the theatre watching all the latest Marvel movies or shows and I am always on the hunt for a tasty meal at new restaurants. I always welcome a friendly game of pick-up basketball!

A lifelong involvement in team sports led me to completing an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario, followed by a Diploma in Massage Therapy at Sutherland-Chan as well as becoming a Certified Personal Trainer. I continue to expand my understanding of the human body at the Canadian College of Osteopathy.
Treatments with me address the body systematically using both soft tissue therapy and active care. Slow, targeted manual release optimizes the nervous system in relaxing the body, while strength and mobility training encourages the brain to adapt to its new range of motion. I am particularly experienced in treating athletes for performance optimization, as well as patients with low back and jaw issues.
Outside of the clinic, I can be found continually challenging myelf with acrobatics and calisthenic training.

I first obtained an Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology degree from McMaster University. Subsequently, my love of learning and the human body inspired me to complete my studies at Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy in 2016.
In my accelerated year at Sutherland-Chan, I had the opportunity to treat many different conditions in clinics such as, Seniors Clinic, Multiple Sclerosis Clinic and Breast Cancer Clinic. I have extensive experience working alongside of all of our amazing practitioners as well as treating low back pain, persistent pain, acute sprains and strains, and much more.
I am also working as a full time instructor at Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy allowing me to bring my clinical knowledge into the classroom for the coming generations of Massage Therapists.
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling and golfing. I am a huge Toronto sports fan and you can bet I will be cheering on the Raptors every game!

After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts from Trent University and teaching adult ESL for a couple of years I pursued a career in massage therapy. Graduating in 2016 with cum laude at the College of Massage & Hydrotherapy I branched out to various different types of clinics, from motor vehicle accident focused, to high performance gyms, to rehab/prehab oriented facilities. I highly value a big picture approach to treatments, realizing that a symptom/complaint is often a small piece to something larger. I also compete in high level sports, rock climb, cycle, run, and cross train when I am not at the clinic, or even doing one of those things between appointments. I am also a long time hobby photographer and podcast junkie.

After completing a Bachelor Of Arts degree focused on humanities and social work, I decided to pursue a diploma in Massage Therapy in an effort to continue to expand my knowledge and skills focused around healing, helping, and community. During my studies at Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy, I worked with a variety of patients & populations including seniors, pregnancy, mood and sleep disorders and conditions such as breast surgery scar work, arthritis, frozen shoulder, and muscle strains. I like to combine general Swedish massage with joint mobilizations, passive stretching, fascial techniques, and proprioceptive techniques to create unique treatments that address patient goals. I aim to combine treatment with effective therapeutic home care to achieve the best outcomes. I am fascinated by the mind-body connection that massage therapy can provide and love to see patients gain better body awareness as well as experience greater relaxation, and reduced stress and anxiety.

I am constantly inspired by what the body is capable of and believe in the power of massage as preventative medicine. My enthusiasm for the power of the human body has been reinvigorated through watching my kids grow and discover the possibilities of movement.
J delivers dynamic treatments that are holistic in approach and encourage the client to reconnect with their body and release unconscious holding patterns through relaxing the nervous system.
I have experience with over-use syndromes, headaches, tendinitis, sciatic pain, carpal tunnel and postural discomforts as well as pre/postnatal massage, infant massage and TMJ dysfunction.
II use a combination of massage techniques including deep tissue, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, joint mobilizations, cupping and aromatherapy to help reduce discomfort and improve function.
I graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Toronto and I am in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.
When not working I can be found running after her kids, strolling through farmer’s markets and dreaming of new travel destinations.
After graduating from York University with a BFA in performance dance, I had quite a lot of time on my hands due to 2020’s unforeseen circumstances. I was working in Kensington Market as a bartender when someone let me know they were pursing a career in massage therapy. Having not considered this as a career path, I went home that day and looked into it immediately.
Flash forward to August 2021 I began my RMT journey at Sutherland-chan and fell in love with the profession. Having recently graduated in 2023, I am so grateful for all the opportunities I was given during my time there. I was able to treat in many different clinic environments including a stroke rehabilitation program, Toronto General Hospital and Fife house - working alongside patients living with HIV. I was also given the opportunity to treat in Sutherland-Chans pregnancy clinic intensive, which allowed me to treat conditions such as piriformis syndrome and plantar fasciitis as well as, provided insight on overall pre and post natal wellness.
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy weight training at the gym, cooking new recipes and spending time with my cat, Lawrence! I am also working towards completing my 200hr yoga teacher training, which I am hoping to complete by the end of this year.
After I graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelors in General Arts with courses focusing on Kinesiology I decided to pursue my passion of the care of the human body at Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy to become a Registered Massage Therapist.
While at Sutherland-Chan I performed and studied scar tissue work, sports massage, manual lymph drainage, pre/post surgery treatment, and Swedish massage to help facilitate healing my patients. I focus my treatments on rehabilitating the body by manipulating it’s nervous system. I do so using techniques such as proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, therapeutic exercise, myofascial release, Swedish massage, and joint manipulation. I develop a specific treatment plan for each individual catered to their daily lives and personal goals!
Outside the clinic I enjoy camping, playing multiple sports, rock climbing, and travelling. I improve my understanding of the human body through my own activity and am always open to trying new things!
